Course selection for Years Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen is very important and it is essential that the subjects and the courses chosen meet the students' needs in following years or leads to the type of employment they wish to pursue.
Each senior student will be issued with a Course Information Booklet to assist with the process of subject and qualification selection. Any concerns or doubts should be discussed with his Vertical Form Tutor and then the Careers Adviser or Guidance Counselor. He will then have interviews with his H.O.D.s and Dean before finalising his choices.
Most students will study towards national awards - N.C.E.A, Level 1-3, Scholarship and/or Internationally recognised IT qualifications.
In order to provide students with the opportunity to achieve realistic goals the school timetable is structured to allow senior students to study at different levels. For example, Year Twelve and Thirteen students may choose Unit Standards or Achievement Standards at Level's 1,2 or 3. The aim is to allow each student to tailor his course of study to achieve at his level and to prepare for an appropriate course or career beyond school.
