Year 9 & 10 GRADUATION REPORTS
There will be four credit periods and reports from these will be issued in May, July, September and November.

Every student will get seven subject reports and a Student Performance Report on each of these occasions.

Each credit period they will receive a maximum of 200 credits and they must exceed 140 credits to be on target to graduate at the end of the year.

Hence they must get 560 (80%) out of 800 credits, over the year, to graduate and earn one of our magnificent Certificates of Excellence.
Other targets to aim for are:
Distinction:  640 (80%) out of 800 credits and
Honours:  720 (90%) out of 800 credits

Some of the core subjects may hold an examination at the end of the year and issue an achievement report as well.  Marks from these enable the Deans to place students in academic classes the following year.

 SENIOR STUDENTS
All Year 11, 12 and 13/14 students get interim reports after 8 weeks at school to give an indication whether they have settled down to work. NCEA candidates get written reports based on school assignments, tests and exams in June and October.

PARENT/TEACHER EVENINGS
Formal meetings will be advertised in school newsletters and the Gisborne Herald prior to the meetings. They usually occur in Terms Two and Three and students are welcome to attend with their parents.
The school recognises the importance of regular liaison with the community, and parents and caregivers are invited to contact their son’s Dean or Vertical Form Tutor at any stage of the year to receive a verbal or performance report on their progress.

Testimonials:
Students leaving school at the end of Years Thirteen and Fourteen are eligible to receive a testimonial. Other school leavers may apply for a Leaver’s Certificate.
